Seeks a new Executive Director

Top administrator, spokesperson and advocate for consumer-governed and operated non profit organization serving people with disabilities.  Must demonstrate an understanding of the philosophies of the Independent Living Movement and the delivery of Independent Living Center services.  Enthusiasm and dedication to organizational mission are essential.   Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills required. Strong communication and relationship building skills a must.  Duties include: 

• Provide guidance and direction for strategic and operational plans
• Responsible for Center’s financial reporting and analysis
• Manage and support staff
• Develop and write grant proposals, speeches, and articles
• Provide public interface, respond to consumer issues, develop community relationships  

Some travel. Benefits include generous leave and paid health, dental and vision insurance. Salary $50K annually.  B.A. or equivalent required.  Persons with disabilities encouraged to apply.
