The NCIL Board approved several position papers during the July Board Meeting. Among these were the Voting Guiding Statement and Positions on Accessible Taxis and Personal Assistant Services.
NCIL Membership approved and Legislative and Advocacy Subcommittees are considering how to implement resolutions on:
Medical Mistreatment of People with Disabilities,
Medically Unnecessary Growth Attenuation and the Right to Bodily Integrity,
Resolution to Oppose Involuntary Medical Futility Judgments,
Protecting the Rights of Parents with Disabilities, and
The U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
