Why is this Training Important?
To demonstrate the independent living (IL) programs' impact on the lives of individuals with significant disabilities, the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) last year introduced a revised 704 Report to collect outcomes-based performance data. RSA recognizes that reporting this data in a consistent and uniform manner is not easy. CILs, SILCs and DSUs have reasonable questions that need to be addressed. For example, How do we report services that can fit under more than one category? What are the differences between individual services, significant life areas and access to previously unavailable transportation, appropriate health care and assistive technology?
That's why RSA has asked the IL NET to facilitate two teleconferences and webcasts at NO COST for CIL, SILC and DSU representatives.
Who Should Attend?
CIL, SILC and DSU directors, board members and key staff. Whether new to the IL movement or highly experienced in it. Attendees are encouraged to participate in groups in order to promote further discussion afterwards.
Who Is Presenting?
- Tom Kelley: RSA IL Unit Supervisor
- Felipe Lulli, Sean Barrett, Pamela Hodge and Elizabeth Akinola: RSA IL Program Specialists
What Accompanying Materials Should I Access And Review For The Trainings?
