The National Council on Independent Living is excited to announce a teleconference to provide Independent Living advocates with information regarding integrating programs for people who are dually eligible: individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.  Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services Office on Disability and Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will be participating.

This presentation is available via teleconference or web-based CART.

Your Presenters:

Henry Claypool is the Director of the HHS Office on Disability. Mr. Claypool has 25 years of experience developing and implementing disability policy at the federal, state, and local levels, and he has personal experience with the nation’s health care system from the perspective of an individual with a disability.

Edo Banach is in the Program Alignment Group of the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office. He previously was associate general counsel at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Prior to that, Edo Banach was the Medicare Rights Center’s general counsel. Edo also practiced health law at the firm of Latham & Watkins and clerked for U.S. Judge John T. Nixon of the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
