Advocacy Coordinator, The League (Fort Wayne IN)

Position Summary: This position is responsible to support individual consumers and community change on a variety of disability related rights, responsibilities, and related issues to foster independence and promote the full inclusion of people with disabilities in community life. This is achieved through:

  1. provide individualized self-help/self-advocacy related services,
  2. provide/coordinate advocacy and systemic change related training programs,
  3. provides information and referral assistance and,
  4. coordinate and conducts community change activities.

Job Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the Job Description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years of post secondary education and four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer a qualified person with a disability.
