Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social/Human Service field

AND

At least three years demonstrated successful full time paid experience in management at a Center for Independent Living (as a Director preferred), human service agency, or large human services program serving people with disability, including budgeting, supervision of staff, and advocacy. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years successful full time experience providing direct service to people who experience a disability, preferred.
  • Thorough and detailed working knowledge of programs serving people with disability, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, HUD, Vocational Rehabilitation, DD Programs, and Behavioral Health Programs, including pertinent regulations
  • Significant grant writing and fund raising experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and coordinate program and community organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing and follow through of human service programs
  • Manual communication skills or desire to learn.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must provide own means of transportation.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, but work load demands will dictate changes in hours and work days.
