Paraquad is searching for a full time Ticket to Work (TTW) Employment Specialist to provide comprehensive employment services to Social Security beneficiaries, assigning their Social Security Administration (SSA) Ticket to Work to Paraquad. Qualified applicants must be eligible to obtain Federal Level 5 Suitability Clearance (application must be submitted within 30 days of employment). Coordinating:

  • Develop and submit for approval an Individual Work Plan with each beneficiary to guide service delivery.
  • Provide basic benefits counseling on work incentives. Refer to Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) for more extensive assistance.
  • Refer job ready candidates to Employment Services Manager for job development and job coaching assistance, if needed.
  • Refer eligible candidates to Employment Services Manager for job readiness skills training on cover letter and resume writing, job searching, filling out applications, and/or interviewing.
  • Inform Employment Services Manager of concerns, progress, or changes with participant and/or site.

Documentation:

  • Accurately complete intakes and paperwork required by funders, including employment plans, goals, outcomes, progress reports, and employment milestone verification forms by deadline.
  • Log all contact with participants and employers in approved database (CIL) or record keeping system by deadline (using only name and phone number of participant).
  • Complete and submit all required documentation via the SSA Ticket Portal.
  • Maintain a complete participant file on all TTW participants.
  • Provide Employment Services Manager proof of documentation such as employment verification and paystubs for billing purposes.

Independent Living Service Delivery:

  • Will refer participant to Employment Services Manager to coordinate identifying natural supports on site and in the community.
  • Assist in referring participants to other programs as needed.

Miscellaneous:

  • Travel independently in the community.
  • Protect participant’s rights to privacy and confidentiality in all forms of communication.
  • Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings.
  • Assist with program outreach functions as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and one year related work

Or

Associate’s Degree in a related field and 3-5 years related experience

Or

High School diploma and 8-10 years related experience

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or completion within 90 days of employment
  • Current Workplace Supports Certification or completion within first 6 months of employment
  • Must be eligible for and obtain Federal Level 5 Suitability Clearance (application within 30 days of employment)
  • Obtain vaccinations, health screenings and background investigations as required by job site employers
